Born with a love of words, I attended journalism school. Here I realized I was drawn to the stories of everyday people, not the ones who make headlines.

When my oldest daughter was born fourteen years ago, I wanted to document every moment of her life and not just any photographs would do. They needed to look like what I saw with my eyes.

So I learned to stop time for a fraction of a second, then refine it until the photograph reflected what I saw in front of me—the true color, the quality of the light, the feeling of being there.
