A Year You’ll Never Get Back

There will be a day when you look at a photograph of your family and realize that version no longer exists. You may notice things for the first time, only in looking back. Right now, it can be difficult to see those things because you are still living through them.

Your children grow a little taller. Their faces change. A new tooth appears. Someone learns to say a word they've never said before. The things that feel ordinary now slowly become distant memories.


There is always a reason to wait for family photographs. To wait until life is less busy. Until the children are in a better phase. Until you've lost the weight, found the right outfit, or finally have a weekend without something else planned.

But families are always changing. Waiting for the perfect time often means another season has passed by.


Family photographs only become more meaningful with time. The day they are taken is simply one day in the life of your family, but years later they are the only tangible thing from that moment in time. 

Why Now Is a Good Time to Book

I don't believe you need a perfect reason to photograph your family.

You don't need a milestone, a birthday, or a major occasion to decide that this particular year is worth remembering. This version of your family will only exist once. Your children will only be the ages they are right now for a little while longer. And the ordinary moments you are living today will eventually become part of the story you tell about these years. 

One Day, This Will Be the Year You Look Back On

A year from now, your family will be different. The year after that, different again. We have such a limited amount of time with our child in each version of themselves.

You cannot get the years back, but you can leave yourself something to return to.
